But then, when people in my circle started sharing their good experiences, I knew there had to be something good. If you still haven't got it, am talking about the new popular Rameshwaram Cafe.  So, when we were planning out Roadtrip, and the 1st place we were breaking the journey was Bangalore, I thought ok, this is a good time to check the Cafe out..let's see. While I hadn't shared my thoughts, a friend recommended we visit the cafe for breakfast, and to go early before the crowd comes in.  All I knew was we were staying somewhere on Bannargatta Road. I knew Bannargatta is quite a distance from most parts of Bangalore and wondered if it was the right choice. Only after we landed at the Homestay, did we realise it was Bannargatta Road, which was off JP Nagar, and close to most places. After checking into the place, went on Google maps only to be told R Cafe was less than 10 mins from our location. The next place I looked up was my friend's home, which was a hop and skip from there. Joy knew no bounds!  Messaged her with my location, made plans to catch up at Breakfast and went to sleep. In the morning, we reached the cafe around 7.20 am, found parking in the lane close by and were all set in the short line to place our order. The friend and her husband joined us and more dishes were ordered. I think by the end of 1.5 hrs, we had tried pretty much all their dishes, except for the mini idli. All items were delicious [among the dishes we ordered, I passed on upma], and so was their coffee. The one thing I noticed was almost all dishes, esp pongal and Kesari had ghee floating on top [ which happens when you add ghee while plating up], but hey I enjoyed the taste & so no complaints! The biggest positive for me was that the food was close to what we make at home, the flavours, esp the sambar.. :-)  As the clock hit closer to 9 am, the crowd started piling in, and the queue got longer. Was impressed to see a small seating area reserved for senior citizens with a board announcing the same on top. Next to it was a drinking water station along with the wash basin. Well planned~  My friend agreed that the food was good, but smaller darshinis were also offering yumm food [which I agree] at half the cost. R cafe rose to the top in such a short time thanks to its PR team and all the buzz created around it. But oh well, I was glad to not be fighting elbows for space or having to rush through the meal [ as I have done in CTR or in other smaller places in Blore] Have you been here? Looks like they've opened in a few new localities as well. Good for ''em ~  Rameshwaram Cafe52, Outer Ring Rd, Jeewan Griha Colony, 2nd Phase, J. P.
