Tech giants need to take more responsibility to ensure their platforms are being gamed by bad actors with intent to damage social cohesion through fake news, hate speech and incitement to violence. Failure to do so as during the US elections, Nazi ideology propagation and Myanmar genocide would only give governments incentives to try regulating content on platforms which is a very slippery slope.
