To those of you who know, to me blogging has been a creative outlet. With work and lot of other priorities blogging keeps taking a back seat. Some questions that I would quite often ask myself are, what do I want to achieve out of blogging? The true motive of why I want to keep writing and sharing my thoughts? The quest to find answers to these questions has led me to start reading books that are centered to the thought of productivity, mindfulness and success. As they say what you seek, seeks you. I received a copy of the book “Unlock the future potential in you” by the author Veijay Bhaskar Rao Adimulam in return of an honest review. With great pride I can say that I had an opportunity to read and review this book, and also because I know Veijay personally when he served at a senior management position in my previous company. As I turned every page, I found it to be interesting and took notes of tips and tricks of what it takes to be successful. To start with the author talks about Journaling. Did you know that there are 4 different types of Journaling? It is important to understand why one must keep a personal Journal. I must say the author has done a great job in convincing me about it. Although it is not easy to pen down every thought, but every action done repeatedly becomes a habit. The next important task is goal setting. A good practice that brings more clarity is to write down our goals and track them periodically. As we track our goals it is essential to compare their state and mark our milestone moments. A very crucial point made in the book is about our concept of motivation. We are always seeking others to motivate us. What you could be your own motivation? Rewarding oneself with every goal achieved keeps one motivated. What causes unproductive hours of work? I am sure there are days when you feel like you have not been able to give your best. The author provides some actions you can take to lower your unproductive hours. There are real life examples of how imagination can help you realize your dreams, bring contentment and joy. With clear defined goals and thoughts success is a step away. “It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare; it is because we do not dare that they are difficult” – Seneca We tend to be too critical about people who discuss money, that myth is debunked, one must not only talk about money but also at very early stages of starting their career must work on their investment plans. Work on long term and short-term investment benefits. Overall, I enjoyed the reading the book but if the author and publisher could add some notes or worksheet sections in the book it would have created more impact that it has created now. Additionally, excessive use of text in brackets deviates attention from main text to the text in brackets. Grab this book today to Unlock the Future Potential in you. Amazon: Paperback|Kindle
