Beypore is an old port located 10km from Calicut, North Kerala, known for the construction of wooden called “Uru” or Dhow. The “Uru” construction is a centuries old tradition which do not uses prior drawing or plans. Uru is made completely from wood. A visit to the yard is must if you are in Calicut.
