I observed that there are 3 or more movie songs in various Bala (director) movies - Piraye Piraye from Pithamagan, Om Sivoham from Naan Kadavul, Or Aayiram Yanai and Amma Endrale from Nandha were Panthuvarali. It led me to wonder if the raga fits the intense mood of his genre of movies.
